Unsure about a link in a message? Check a public web address against Google Web Risk’s lists of known threats.

  • No account needed
  • No link previews
  • No saved check history

Check a link

Paste the full address, beginning with https:// or http://. Up to 2,048 characters.

Keep private links private.

Do not paste sign-in, password-reset, payment or private-document links. They can contain personal information or access codes.

This check is not a safety guarantee. Dangerous sites can be missed, and harmless sites can be flagged by mistake.

Google Web Risk · Threat-list lookup

HOW IT WORKS

A check, with clear limits.

  1. Paste a public link

Check the actual address, not just the name displayed in a message. Keep private links and access codes out of the checker.

  2. We ask Google Web Risk

After you confirm, our server sends the address to Google’s threat-list lookup service. THAS does not visit the submitted website.

  3. Read the result carefully

A result can help you decide what to do next. It cannot prove who sent a message or guarantee that a website is trustworthy.

What happens to the link?

The link stays in this page until you choose Check link and confirm sharing. We send it to our server in the request body, never as a page URL or an analytics event.

Google receives the complete submitted link to perform the lookup. Google processes it under its own terms. Never submit personal information, sign-in links, password-reset links, payment links or private files. We block some common private-link formats, but cannot recognise every private link.

THAS does not save submitted links or check results in a database, browser storage or application logs. Use Clear link and result to remove them from this page. The hosting provider may process connection information, such as IP addresses, for operation and abuse prevention.
